ABOUT WENDY KANE

I started to play the piano when I was five years old and I achieved ABRSM (The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music) grade eight practical when I was fourteen. With my talent and dedication to practice, I took only two piano practical exams between beginners to grade eight. I performed in school music concerts and I was a piano accompanist. I was admitted to the music school of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and I started to teach when I was studying in the university in Hong Kong. My students ranged from three years old to working professionals. I have been teaching in Australia since 2016.

My teaching philosophy is to make learning instrument more enjoyable and provide students with a solid foundation of music skills so that they can teach themselves music throughout their lifetime. I was trained to play Classical music. This does not stop me from learning other genres of music including pop music.

Wendy Kane Piano is a home studio where I run the studio entirely by myself.

I can speak fluent English and Cantonese so I can teach you or your child in either one of the languages.

Playing the piano is my passion. I always love playing the piano as it makes me happy. Music touches my heart and my soul and I find my inner self through the music that I play. I feel great joy to play as well as to teach the piano to everyone who wants to learn this beautiful instument.
